John Carlos Frey

John Carlos Frey is a six-time Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist with more than 20 years of experience covering immigration, border security and corruption within the government.
His reporting is the subject of a recently-released HBO documentary, Critical Incident: Death at the Border, which details how Border Patrol agents killed an undocumented immigrant and then covered it up. Frey is also the author of Sand and Blood: America's Stealth War on the Mexico Border — a definitive examination of the politics and power shaping U.S. immigration and border enforcement.
Frey is currently the host of The Raid, a new podcast that examines the human, political, and legal consequences of ongoing ICE raids across the country.
